With a global fanbase of millions and partnerships with major brands like Honda, SAP, and Marvel, Team Liquid represents the pinnacle of professional esports. They've won multiple world championships and consistently rank among the top 5 most valuable esports organizations globally.
Team Liquid wanted to deepen fan engagement through Web3 technology, creating exclusive digital collectibles and experiences for their community. They needed a battle pass system that would reward loyal fans while introducing them to blockchain in an accessible, gaming-native way.
We developed an NFT-based battle pass system built on Polygon, featuring tiered rewards and exclusive collectibles, fan challenges and achievement tracking, integration with Team Liquid's existing community platforms, and gas-free transactions for seamless user experience.
The battle pass created a new revenue stream while significantly boosting fan engagement. Fans embraced the collectibles, and the system proved that Web3 can enhance rather than complicate the fan experience when implemented thoughtfully.
